Assigned Parking

Wayne State University Parking passes are available for purchase in person at the OneCard/Parking Service Center located in the Welcome Center, 42 W. Warren, Room 257. They accept MasterCard, Visa, cash, check or money order as payment. For a complete listing of Parking fees, please visit our website www.parking.wayne.edu.

For all new parking customers, there is an additional one-time, non-refundable/non-transferable user fee for a Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) hangtag. All fees subject to change. The RFID hangtag will allow you access to Parking Structure 4 Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am-12:30 am. Along with your access to PS#4, you will be able to park at Lot 75 only (surface lot adjacent to PS#4) after 7:00 pm on weekdays and around the clock on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Upon request and based on availability, your RFID hangtag may be encoded for access to Parking Structure 1 or 5 near the Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center at no extra charge. The structures’ addresses are 450 West Palmer – North of the Law School and 5501 Anthony Wayne Drive – Across from the FAB building (Faculty Administration.)

Parking permits are intended for the sole use of the OneCard holder only. Any “misuse” of parking privileges by students (Violation of the Student Code of Conduct) or employees could result in the loss of parking privileges and formal disciplinary charges. General Parking

If you choose not to join the assigned parking program, you may park in Lot 75 using your OneCard at the OneCard Debit reader. There are several ways to add money to your OneCard:

  1. Online: Visit Academica and click on OneCard Quick Deposit. Funds deposited online at Academica are generally available within 15-30 minutes.
  2. Check or Money Order: Checks and money orders are accepted at the OneCard/Parking Service Center in the Welcome Center, suite 257. The deposited funds are available the next day.
  3. CSVT Machine: To make CASH additions to your OneCard, a Cash System Value Terminal is available on the first floor of Shiffman Library, in the copy room on the west side of the building. Funds deposited at a CSVT machine are generally available within 15-30 minutes

Visitor Parking

Surface Lot 75 is open to visitors, with charges per entrance, payable with Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Cash is not accepted at this location. All fees subject to change.

Hours and Additional Information

Parking Structure 4: Open Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 12:00 midnight

For students assigned to PS-4, you will have access to surface Lot 75 on M-F after 7:00 p.m. and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Surface Lot 75: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

The Midtown Connection combines portions of exisiting shuttle services that are available to SOM students travelling across Midtown. These include: DMC Central Campus Shuttle, Henry Ford New Center Shuttle, WSU Main Campus Shuttle, WSU Medical Campus Shuttle. Along each route a stop has been designated as a “Tranfer Point,” where passengers can interconnect between shuttles.

WSU Medical Campus Shuttle

Service runs continuously in approximately 30 minute intervals, leaving Scott Hall on the hour and 30 minutes after the hour. The shuttle is labeled “Medical Campus Shuttle” and goes to all Main Campus stops in addition to the Medical and Pharmacy stops.

Summer hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fall hours are Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

DMC Central Campus Shuttle

Service runs continuously with shuttles arriving approximately every 15 minutes. Operates Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m to 7:30 p.m.. No holidays or weekends.

Henry Ford New Center Shuttle Route
